There are moments in life that shape who we become. For me, one of those moments happened thousands of miles from home while serving as a Soldier in Mannheim, Germany.

It was there that I received a nickname from those around me: Chocolate Buddha.

At the time, it was simply a nickname. I never imagined it would one day become the foundation of a company, a philosophy, and a mission.

Over the next three decades, life would test me in ways I could never have imagined. Military service, combat deployments, leadership responsibilities, personal loss, adversity, education, and entrepreneurship all became chapters in a journey that taught me the importance of balance.

Balance between strength and compassion.

Balance between discipline and grace.

Balance between ambition and humility.

Balance between serving others and believing in yourself.

Chocolate Buddha Apparel was created from those lessons.

This company was never intended to be just another clothing brand. It was built to encourage people to move through life with confidence, discipline, purpose, and self-belief. Every garment we create represents more than fabric and design—it represents a mindset.

As a retired Army Paratrooper, I understand commitment, preparation, and resilience. Those values continue to guide every decision we make as a company.

We are beginning with the communities that shaped me—military members, veterans, military families, and the friends I made in Germany—but our vision reaches far beyond those communities. We believe the pursuit of balance is universal.
